Hardware-In-The-Loop (HWIL)
Aeronautics - Defense - Space
MSRC provides HWIL test support for our customers. We are HWIL subject matter experts in the areas of Flight Motion Simulators, Target Simulators, real-time simulation, and other related technologies. We develop HWIL test facilities that perform system-level, end-to-end missile guidance testing including the following subsystems:
• Seeker
• Guidance Processor
• Navigation Processor
• Inertial Measurement Unit
• Global Positioning System (GPS) receiver
• Control Actuation System
• Radio Frequency (RF) data link
• Launcher
• Fire control system
We have expertise in True Line-of-Sight and Synthetic Line-of-Sight HWIL test facility designs.
Semi-active Laser (SAL) Testing
MSRC supports the design, integration, test, and operation of semi-active laser (SAL) HWIL test facilities, which utilize a 3-axis Flight Motion Simulator and a SAL target simulator. MSRC supports the integration, test, calibration, alignment, and real-time simulation for these test facilities.
Infrared (IR) Testing
MSRC supports the design, integration, test, and operation of an IR HWIL test facility. The test facility utilizes a 5-axis Flight Motion Simulator and an IR target simulator. MSRC supports the integration, test, calibration, alignment, operation, and real-time simulation for this test facility.
RF Testing
MSRC supports the design, integration, test, and operation of an RF HWIL test facility. The test facility utilizes a 3-axis Flight Motion Simulator and an RF target simulator. MSRC supports the integration, test, calibration, alignment, operation, and real-time simulation for this test facility.
Multi-Mode Testing
MSRC has performed requirements development for HWIL test facilities which are designed to test multi-mode sensors such as IR and RF.
